Wine Tour Guide – Seasonal Position/Full Time or Part Time

Experience Wine Tours is seeking an energetic, personable , experienced and reliable wine professional to join our team as a Wine Tour Guide. Tired of working long shifts at night in the restaurant scene? Or looking for the perfect, part-time “second career”? Our team of guides are wine industry professionals, dedicated to providing engaging, informed, first-class service. This seasonal position combines the duties of safely transporting guests from winery to winery, with catering to our guests’ individual needs while on tour, along with providing an entertaining, educational, and cordial environment.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:

  • exceptional communication skills and an ability to speak comfortably in front of groups of up to 11 guests
  • passion for food & wine and a flair for entertaining
  • solid knowledge of the Okanagan region and wines produced here
  • ability to take direction from supervisors, and to work independently
  • willingness to be flexible, and apply critical thinking to challenges
  • friendly, upbeat demeanor with a sense of humor
  • ability to smile under pressure
  • desire to work in the tourism industry and a passion for BC wine an asset
  • WSET or ISG certification desirable

This position requires the successful candidate to be FoodSafe (Level 1) certified, and hold a Class 4 Drivers’ License, with a clean record; a Drivers’ Abstract may be requested. These certifications may be acquired after hiring.
