Assistant Tour Coordinator – Seasonal Position

Experience Wine Tours is seeking an energetic, organized, focused, personable and reliable individual to join our team as Assistant Tour Coordinator. This seasonal, part-time position combines duties related to working in our office environment, as well as being responsible for the preparation of our picnic lunches. Daily duties during work hours will be split evenly (4 hours Office/Admin, and 4 hours Picnic).

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


  • Sending tour pick-up times to guests
  • Sending tour guides shift start times
  • Requesting tasting appointments with wineries
  • Sending final guest counts and information to wineries
  • Preparing tour sheets
  • Following up with guests after their tour


  • Running errands & shopping for picnics
  • Portioning and weighing food items
  • Food preparation – chopping fruits and vegetables
  • Packing and sorting tour picnics
  • Unpacking, washing, and sanitizing equipment from picnic returns
  • Picnic laundry

NOTE: These lists are not exhaustive; other duties may be required.


The successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:

  • exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • efficient, very organized and tidy, with a strong ability to multi-task
  • ability to take direction from supervisors, and to work independently
  • computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email functions
  • willingness to be flexible, and apply critical thinking to challenges
  • friendly, upbeat demeanor with a sense of humor
  • ability to smile under pressure
  • desire to work in the tourism industry and a passion for BC wine an asset

This position requires the successful candidate to be FoodSafe (Level 1) certified, and hold a current Class 5 Drivers’ License, with a clean record; a Drivers’ Abstract may be requested.

Remuneration: $16/hr, paid bi-weekly
Hours: Est. 24 hr/week, 1:30pm-9:30pm
